Saint Arnold Brewery TwittFace Crawl

Beautiful saturday, March 6th, afternoon in Houston, TX, and ST. Arnold Brewery brings another pub crawl for loyal drinkers to enjoy. Hitting spots across Washington Ave, we all traveled by foot or vehicle to reach our destination, or next beer, however you want to see it.

Taps had a grand bar space with the largest selection of tapped beer from all the rest, true to their name. With a deck outside and various party games to keep you busy.

Brixx had great outdoor seating comforts and a unique bar which expands both inside and outside of the building. Great place for an outdoor party.

Cahill's seemed to have the longest bar seating area (which is what I look for) of the rest. Even though the tap selection is small, the variety of liquor and the kind waiting staff makes up for it. Potato chips are a must here and the pool table is missing ball 13.

Drinkery has some damn good bacon wrapped hotdogs to accompany your drink. They had a good mix of patio, under shade, and indoor bar sitting for their customers.

Porch Swing, I really didn't get to experience this last bar, since I stood outside most of the time. The crowd was in full 'swing' and the pub had a lot of floor space for everyone to get comfortable in.

This was a great crawl, with the ST. Arnold's staff being full of smiles and stories. Great job, can't wait for the next crawl to hit our Houston streets.

Cheers!

Continental Club featuring Molly and the Ringwalds; SkyRocket

My first visit to the establishment, Continental Club. The vintage look is true to an authentic musical pub. Great waiting staff, with an excellent variety beverage for anyone's liking. the floor space is small, compared to many other establishments. But this brings a better feel to your connectivity to the band that's playing.

The audience was great. Single and swinging along to the music being piped out. Everyone had a smile and many had bugs in their shows. Since they couldn't stop grooving to the music.

Had a great experience watching two bands play. First being Molly and the Ringwalds. A local Houston cover band, playing all that is great about the music of the '80s. Dressed in fashionable attires and dancing the robot every other song. They are more than just a musical group, they are entertainers. Making you laugh as they bring up fans to participate in karaoke or their oddball moments with each song they play. They are a must see if you want a smile with that dance.

Lastly, I found myself in front of a band I've never experienced. Skyrocket from Austin came out to play. They have a harmony and vibe that is strong in the music they play. Jamming a wide variety of "big sound" songs from the '70s and '80s. This is a band that makes you feel why those songs were so good back in their time of age. I didn't stay long enough to here more music (since I was tired from the day [pity though i wished i did]). What I did listen to and captured was wonderful. I must experience their music in length sometime soon.

Good Night, Good Times.

Kaos

Kaos, Musical Compilation
Working on some material that Sally Vee brought to me from her visit with Kaos. Kaos being an all around rock and pop local cover band here in the Houston area. This video is a compilation of the best moments off a few of the songs they performed in Seabrook, TX at Lance's Turtle Club.
